The Moravian Academy Language Immersion Conference (MALIC) is an annual event aimed at bringing together administrators, educators, and coordinators - both locally and from afar within the country - to enhance their language acquisition skills and create a network for professional growth and development. With attendance growing, MALIC’s offerings continue to expand each year.

Seeking assistance in their transformation into a larger, stronger event, they approached our agency. Through an extensive research phase, we delved into understanding their brand, identifying outdated elements, and crafting a strategic approach for a refreshed voice and appearance. Our process, rooted in deep strategy, culminated in a distinct and visually appealing transformation.

THE STRATEGY

MALIC is a Lehigh Valley based premier conference that focuses on language immersion and acquisition, creating a platform for administrators, educators, and coordinators to network, learn, and grow. The conference stands out for its independent roots; grown from its 285yr old school establishment, it differs from other language immersion conferences that are often hosted by higher education institutions or government. MALIC focuses on providing professional development and fellowship opportunities, rather than a showcase for the intellectual elite to exhibit their degrees and credentials, and nothing more.

MISSION
To develop and empower individuals who are curious, compassionate, and courageous with the tools they need to become global citizens, through language immersion and acquisition. We are passionate about creating an environment where students can explore different cultures, challenge themselves, and embrace their unique potential, while celebrating the diversity within the world. Our mission is ultimately to create meaningful connections with the world around us, and we believe that everyone has the potential to become a limitless learner and educator.

PURPOSE
To provide language immersion and dual language professionals in the area (and surrounding regions) with a valuable and professional learning opportunity. We aim to foster growth and development within the language education community, promoting best practices and advancing the field through high-quality educational events. MALIC is committed to facilitating an inclusive and collaborative learning environment, where language professionals can come together to share knowledge, expertise, and innovative ideas.

VISION
To create a future where individuals engaged or interested in immersion education can engage in enriching professional development opportunities while fostering deeper conversations, conducting cutting-edge research, building a robust support network, and sharing innovative techniques related to language acquisition education. MALIC’s ultimate goal is to cultivate a large and passionate community of connected language professionals who are committed to advancing the field of immersion education and promoting cultural exchange, acceptance and understanding.
